Best speedy nail polish

This isn't a trick so much as advice. If you want to have nice nails for cheap in zero time, get Sally Hanson Insta-Dry polish. I have it in Pewter and a pink. It is extremely smooth so it requires only one coat to not look streaky. I found mine on sale for like $3.50 at Target, therefore it is inexpensive (think how many manicures you are getting for only $3!). It also dries in literally 3 minutes.

ps: the dink in my index finger nail is the nail itself, not the polish.

Fancy Polish Designs

I'm sure you've all seen the nail polish stickers where people have all sorts of patterns on their nails that would pretty much not be possible with traditional nail polish. Or all the cool pens especially for nail designs. I decided I wanted the look for cheaper for a formal last weekend. 


I started with two coats of regular pinkish-red nail polish on my toes. I then took a fine point sharpie and drew lines myself. The key is to let the polish really dry and not push too hard. You don't want to get divots in your nail polish, just the black lines on top. You can add a clear coat at the end if you'd like. I ran out of time, so I didn't and the sharpie has stayed just fine for a week now. Though your polish may stay longer in general with the top coat. Here's my result (not too bad for in a rush):
